My Favorite location for a Portrait Session
Brandon and surrounding areas of Suffolk and Norfolk are full of beautiful locations for any portrait session. From beautiful parks, historic places to pretty little towns and villages. Let's not forget about Thetford Forest. Every year I discover beauty of this place all over again. No matter if I'm planning to shoot family portraits or romantic engagement session, there are always so many places to choose from.
Brandon Country Park is on top of my favorite places for sure. There are few reasons why this park is my first location to choose from.
I must say I discover this place after few years living in Brandon and felt in love with it. When our daughter was about a one year old we decided to visit park for a Sunday walk. We weren't sure if we will be able to walk there with the pram but it turned out to be a great walk. There are many trails and the park was pretty empty with the people, despite full car park. Yes, Brandon Country park is huge. There are over 30 acres of parkland, with pond, walled garden and miles of nature trails.
I love shooting in open heatland. Each year I'm looking forward to schedule few sessions there. The heather flowers, when in bloom, create breathtaking scenery. My always favorite are Summer golden hour sessions there.
As I mentioned early the park is huge, so there are many beautiful spots. The dark woodland areas and stunning pine trees are true, hidden gems.
The park is open from dawn till dusk and have a little tea room with yummy cakes and tea, so you can relax after session and enjoy even more fresh air and family time. There is a play area for the kids, with the swings and slides, so if your kids still need to loose some energy after session with me, this will be a perfect place to visit. The park is also dog friendly and I would be more than happy if you decide to take your little pooch for a session with you.
